On the feast of Our Lady of Sorrows<\/strong><\/a> (September 15):<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A garden dark and darker hearts
bring agony this day;
From Sunday palms to Friday whips
the passions wave astray;
He bears the tree with broken heart
upon the stony way.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With body raised, He hangs in pain<\/em>
And very few will stay<\/em>
To watch the life escape Him now<\/em>
Instead they run away.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

But someone stands beneath the Cross<\/em>
to keep despair at bay<\/em>
And Christ can smile before He dies:<\/em>
He hears His mother pray.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
